Shelby Montgomery
Shelby Montgomery is the Orchestra Director at George Jenkins HS and Lakeland Highlands MS in Polk County, Florida. Shelby has served numerous times as the Polk County All-County Orchestra coordinator. An active conference presenter, she most recently presented at FMEA, TMEA, and ASTA. She is the 2022 recipient of the FMEA Exemplary Model Program Award and was named a quarterfinalist for the 2023 GRAMMY Educator Award. Shelby has also served as FOA District 12 District Chair and on the Eclectic Styles Committee for ASTA. Outside of the classroom, she is heavily involved in local theatre as a pit orchestra member. Shelby is a proud graduate of The Florida State University, where she completed both her BME and MME.

Liz Emery
Hello! Liz Emery is a junior at Southeastern University studying music education and will graduate next year. Liz is a graduate of Harrison School for the Arts in Lakeland. At SEU Liz performs in the orchestra and jazz band. Liz has also been part of several pit orchestras for local musicals. She is beyond excited to spend a day making music with y’all. Bass Day is going to be so fun much!

Emmaleigh Carr
Emmaleigh Carr earned degree from The Florida State University. She plays double bass and guitar,and she has a passion for orchestral and jazz music. Ms. Carr performs professionally on both instruments in various genres including classical, pop, blues, Broadway, and jazz. She began her career in Volusia County, teaching orchestra as the West Volusia Itinerant Director at the middle and high school levels. She has been highly involved with continuing the growth of orchestra in Volusia County, serving as the Middle School All-county Orchestra Chair since 2013.
